HAMMOCK

I am not that great of a sewer, so I thought I would come up with some simple hammock instructions that require little sewing. Email me if you have any questions. I will get pictures up when I get them.

What you need:

  • A pillow case (The size of the hammock you want)
  • Shoe lases, sturdy ribbon, bias tape, or any other kind of sturdy string.

What you need to do:

    1. Turn the pillowcase inside out.
    2. Sew the open side of the pillowcase together, but leave a hole in the middle of the side so you can turn the hammock outside in when it is done.
    3. Cut the corners of the hammock, so that there are small holes where the corners are.
    4. Cut four pieces of string, twice the size you want the hangers of the hammock to be. Fold them in half.
    5. Slide the string in the corner holes, making the "loop" part of the string stick outside of the hole about 1 inch.
    6. Sew over the corners with the strings. You may want to sew over the corners twice to make it extra sturdy.
    7. Turn the hammock outside in.
    8. Sew up the hole you left. You're done!
